About Joy Smith
I have both an undergraduate and a law degree from the University of
Notre Dame. After graduating from the Notre Dame Law School, I clerked
for one year for a state trial court judge in Michigan, and then began
my years of practice as an attorney. Before opening my law office, I worked
for thirteen years as a legal aid attorney. I have experience in many
areas of law and in litigation as well. I am licensed to practice law
in Ohio*, Pennsylvania*, and New York, as well as the following federal
jurisdictions: the United States District Court for the Northern District
of New York, the United States District Court for the Western District
of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third
Circuit. I currently live in Glens Falls, New York, with my husband and
children.
